What is atrophic vaginitis?

Atrophic vaginitis is a condition that involves thinning of the vaginal walls and decreased lubrication. This causes increased vaginal dryness and inflammation.

It is caused, basically, by a decrease in estrogen, which is the main female sex hormone, being a very frequent problem in women in menopause (50% of women affected by menopause suffer from Vaginal Atrophy), affecting both their sexual function and quality of life. Symptoms can be suffered for years, unless appropriate measures are taken.

The reasons are different and can originate in small sequelae of infections, in atypical morphology, congenital malformations or, simply, in the apprehension of penetration.

Vaginal atrophy is a more common problem than you might think, affecting women of all ages, although it is more common in women after giving birth or during breastfeeding. However, it is in postmenopausal women that the greatest number of cases are detected, affecting one in two.

How do you use the INTIMATE DILATOR?

It involves first applying a little water-based lubricant to the entrance of the vagina (about the volume of a chestnut) and massaging gently for 2 or 3 minutes.

Then, take the smallest element INTIMATE DILATOR. Apply equally on the tip of the lubricant in the same proportions.

Then, start pressing to introduce it into the vagina smoothly and progressively. If you notice dryness, add some lubricant.

You can continue exercising for 10-15 minutes by making small rocking movements. It is important to keep in mind that the contraction of the vaginal muscles is unfavorable, so if it occurs, the exercise should be stopped.

The goal is to relax the vaginal area as well as to find the pleasure that accompanies it, for this reason it is recommended to use a very comfortable place to perform the exercises and the accompaniment of soft music.
